Slovakia is IOTA’s newly elected President

The first day of IOTA’s 21st General Assembly under Presidency of Ukraine, hosted by State Fiscal Service of Ukraine in Kyiv is successfully completed. The meeting, opened by Mr Myroslav Prodan, Acting Head of State Fiscal Service resulted in - among others - approving IOTA’s work programme and budget for 2018 and electing IOTA’s new President and new Executive Council. Slovakia was elected as President of IOTA for the term of 2017/2018 and the new Executive Council (presided by Slovakia) consists of the following members: Bulgaria, Denmark, France, Georgia, Germany, Lithuania, Portugal and United Kingdom.

The 21st General Assembly continues tomorrow with an official opening ceremony, with discussions on IOTA's new strategy and on the theme of the Assembly: "Disruptive Trends and New Business Models: Challenges and Implications for the 21st century Tax Administration".
