A one-day working visit from members of the IOTA Secretariat to the Slovak Financial Administration took place on the 15th November 2017 in Bratislava, Slovakia.

Members of the Secretariat met Mr Frantisek Imrecze, President of the Slovak Financial Directorate and President of IOTA and the organisational team of the forthcoming General Assembly of IOTA, scheduled for the 25th to the 27th June 2018 in Bratislava. The 22nd Assembly of IOTA with the title “Impact of Digitalisation on the Transformation of Tax Administrations” will focus on the effect caused by technological innovation on tax organisations and their activities. Tax systems and tax administrations need to keep the pace with the new developments and understanding the digital world and fiscal challenges.

The two teams discussed in depth the structure, agenda, contents and logistics of the event and a roadmap with the important tasks and milestones related to the organisational process was agreed. Work on this matter will continue in close cooperation between IOTA Secretariat and the Slovak Presidency.
